National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day, focuses on raising awareness in Canada regarding the residential school system and the impact that these schools have had on Indigenous communities for over a century—an impact recognized as a cultural genocide, and an impact that continues today. The orange shirt is a symbol of the stripping away of culture, freedom and self-esteem experienced by Indigenous children over generations. On September 30th, we encourage all Iovate team members and Canadians to wear orange to honour the thousands of Survivors of residential schools. #TruthandReconciliation #OrangeShirtDay #EveryChildMatters
