Account Manager, eCommerce

Accountabilities:

  • Primary focus will be selling major Iovate branded products in addition to developing and executing eCommerce sales strategies such as promotions, programs and product launch plans
  • Manage complete Account Plan and customer planning process including:
    • Yearly budget
    • eCommerce sales strategies (programs and promotions)
    • Proposing and approval on advertising and distribution agreements
    • Inventory forecasting
    • Tracking customer trends towards targets (spend/investments)
  • Meet and exceed eCommerce sales targets including monthly, quarterly and annual commitments as outlined in the annual budgeting process
  • Frequent communication with external and internal stakeholders to help meet the customers’ expectations
  • Represent the customer and work with all key internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of necessary product materials to all accounts on regular basis and upon product launches (i.e. labels, renderings, POS material files, information presentations)
  • Manage business proposals within current portfolio
  • Demonstrate meticulous and timely follow-up with new and existing clients
  • Develop deep understanding of client needs and their core business
  • Develop and maintain detailed understanding of market environment for all eCommerce accounts
  • Investigate international market opportunities and survey/plan key customer pursuits
  • Work closely with Marketing team to understand brand strategy and market specific positioning
  • Work with internal team to specify project budgets
  • Assist in writing proposals and project briefs for presentation to clients; design presentations
  • Partner with Brand Management team to develop new product offerings including formulas, packaging, label claims, key callouts, and launch plans
  • Assist with POS data uploads and weekly sales reports for senior leadership team including WoW, Period and YTD performance
  • Attend weekly meetings with senior leadership team to provide in depth account review, eCommerce sales performance, new programs and alignment on promotions
  • Partner with customer service team to ensure shipments to customer are timely and in full; manage PO’s from account to hit monthly sales call and budget numbers
  • Other role related duties as assigned

Experience & Skillset:

  • Post-Secondary Education in Sales, Business or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of direct selling and account management experience preferably within a consumer packaged goods environment
  • Knowledge of various customer bases across eCommerce channel
  • Knowledge of and understand account planning processes (planning, objective setting, presentations, and administration)
  • Knowledge of Sports Supplements and Nutritional products an asset
  • Strong written, communication, selling and presentation skills; solid business analysis skills
  • Product and customer base knowledge is an asset
  • This position requires occasional travel which at times might be for extended periods of time
  • Proactive and able to continuously manage change in an extremely fast paced, energetic work environment
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite
